Italy, a place on the map of world; where every tourist wants to visit once in a lifetime. To visit Italy is the dream of all the tourists. It's a land of various diversities and cultures, but still it holds one of the most ancient monuments of the past historic times. Although most of them are abandoned, but still mostly in a good condition. All over the Italy, this rich heritage is spread and adored.

In the south central region of Italy lies the town of Abruzzo, also known as Abruzzi. It is located in between central coast and central Apennines. It's a paradise for the tourists who want to visit and see the true colors of Italy. It has rich variety from coastline to mountains, everything present in this small region of the country. The total area of Abruzzo is around 10,794 square km making it one of the biggest states of Italy.

Abruzzo is divided into four sub-states known as Chieti, L'Aquila, Pescara and Teramo. In these four the L'Aquila is the largest one in the area. The total population of Abruzzo is around 1.3 million which if compared to other states of Italy is quite low, making it one of the lowest dense populated areas of Italy.

The Apennines mountain range is one of the most well-known mountain ranges of the world. It covers around 1400 km of Italy's space running the entire length of Italian peninsula. It's one of the most loved by most mountain climbers and specially for skiing. Its skiing resorts are one of the most popular one around the world. There are around 15 skiing resorts present in the region of Apennines which adds to its tourist scenario and also makes a good amount of economy for the country. The Apennines's has the highest peak of the region named as Monte Corno which is 9650 feet high.

The 129 km coastline of Abruzzo is also full of diversity ranging from wide sand beaches to rock solid coastline. It is one of the major reasons for tourist to choose Abruzzo for their vacations. It also adds up a large amount in the total economy of the state and country.

For the remaining area of the state making wine and sheep breeding are the two major source of income. Although wine industry is not that much spread in the total area but sheep breeding is widely spread in the peninsula region and is source of money for most of the people living in this region.

The Abruzzo region is evaded by many kingdoms in the history and every new ruler and kingdom has left a certain kind of impact on it. La Rocca di calascio, the highest fortress in the Abruzzo is the great impact of those evades. This fortress not only attracts the visitors but also a great buzz among the top architectures astounding features. Many of the filmmakers are also impressed by it which adds to another feather in the cap of Abruzzo.
